What the Ministry is All About

Global Ministries is all about being motivated by God’s all-surpassing glory, the love of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. Global Ministries is the North American arm of the Church of the United Brethren in Christ International. Along with working in partnership with United Brethren churches, they work with leaders in 18 other countries, encouraging and strengthening their Great Commission efforts. Global Ministries works to create disciples and leaders of Christ and to build churches that can be self-supported and mission-focused.

What People Should Know

Global Ministries joined with the United Brethren Church’s efforts in 1853 and together they started their overseas missions in 1965. The official Global Ministries name was created in 2001. As a ministry, they continue to branch out to other countries, build new churches and help other churches get back on their feet. There are over 500 United Brethren churches in 17 different countries. Every country has its own story to tell.

How God is at Work

Global Ministries continues to share the love of Christ around the world through meaningful connections and expanding efforts. God is using them to build churches that are self-supporting, self-governing, self-propagating, and mission-focused on fulfilling God’s purposes. The organization is doing all of this by demonstrating compassion and by ministering to those who cannot help themselves.
