The Airline Loses My Luggage

If your bags got stuck somewhere along your journey, but the airline is working to get them back to you:

 

Baggage Delay coverage reimburses you for the cost of reasonable additional clothing and personal items purchased by you while your baggage is delayed for 24 hours or more from your time of arrival at a destination other than your return destination.*

 

  • Make sure to save all of your receipts for the items you need to purchase to survive the delay.
  • Get a statement from the airline documenting the baggage delay and how long your bags were delayed.
  • When you get home, report your claim here. Our staff will follow up with you within 24 business hours with instructions to file a claim.

 

If the airline can’t find your bags and there’s no hope of getting them back:

 

The Baggage and Personal Effects benefit provides coverage for loss of your baggage that is permanently lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed during your trip. There is a $300 per item maximum. *

 

  • Make sure to save all of your receipts for the items you replaced
  • Get a statement from the airline documenting the baggage loss
  • When you get home, report your claim here. Our staff will follow up with you within 24 business hours with instructions to file a claim.
